Harvest Report
2022

After a cold, dry winter, spring began with normal rainfall, no late frosts, and uniform budburst followed by steady growth. From early October to mid-January, the vineyards experienced a marked water deficit, with 50% less rainfall than usual. The drought ended after a week of high temperatures in mid-January, which caused some sunburn on the grapes, followed by significant rainfall.
In January and February, precipitation exceeded the climatic average by 74%, posing an additional challenge but not preventing the harvest of ripe, healthy grapes. Even under these conditions, our established sustainable grape-growing practices—among the first to be certified by LSQA, LATU, and INAVI—proved effective. Harvest began on February 7 with the first white varieties and concluded on March 26.
Highlights of the vintage include the Albariño from Juanicó, with citrus and melon notes, excellent structure, and crisp acidity; the Pinot Noir from the same region, showing great typicity, red fruit, cherry, supple tannins, juiciness, and a touch of wild character; and the Tannat from Progreso, notable for its energy, clarity of aroma, palate power, and elegance.
